This is both our favorite and least favorite section. We hate knowing you were dissatisfied with a product in some way, but we get it. Things happen, minds change, the world stops turning, and all of time collapses. Maybe an exaggeration, but we get it. We like this section because its purpose is to make your life easier and keep the world turning if those situations are to arise.

Online Returns

Need to return an online order? Just enter your order details, print a USPS return label, and take a trip to the nearest post office. Easy peasy. $7.95 will be deducted from your return for the shipping label. We know some larger companies offer free return shipping. We hope to one day be large enough to do that too! If your package is less than a pound, you may be able to choose your own carrier and spend a little less on return shipping. For anything over a pound, your best bet is to use the label we offer. Your return will be processed within two weeks of the returned delivery date.

If you choose to use your own shipping provider, we recommend that you use UPS or Insured Parcel Post for shipment and request a tracking number. Be sure to wrap the package securely in a box. Lost return shipments are the responsibility of the customer.

Return Requirements

  • Return within 30 days of shipment.
  • Item must be unused, in original condition, with original packaging and tags attached. Product packaging should not be damaged in any way. Online orders returned in unsellable condition (dirty, stained, strong odors of smoke, etc) will be subject to a restocking fee of up to 50%.
  • Please do not return products by using the shoe box as your shipping box. You may be subject to a 25% restocking fee for damaged packaging, and we really don’t want to have to do that to you.
  • products that show any sign of wear are not returnable.
  • Please return the merchandise with a copy of the receipt and a note explaining what you would like for us to do (i.e. exchange for a different size, credit account, etc.). You are responsible for return shipping charges to Dotasale.
  • Custom order returns, including House Divided, will only be accepted if we or our vendor are at fault for any issue with your order.
  • Opened puzzles are not eligible for return.

Items purchased online may also be returned to any Dotasale location. Please bring the receipt included with your order, as well as the credit card used to make the purchase. Please be aware refunds must be made to the same credit card used to make the original purchase. In the absence of the original credit card, a gift card will be issued.

Original shipping costs are not available for a refund.

Returns may take up to 7-14 business days to process and become available in your account.

Online Exchanges

We are not able to offer free return shipping for exchanges. (We are a small company and shipping is very expensive.) However, if you'd like to exchange, we do waive any shipping on sending out your replacement order.

Place a new order for the item needed, and send us the original order. Returns must be received within 30 days of the original date of purchase. In the return package, please note you're exchanging and add your new order number and old order number, and we will refund any shipping fee for your exchange order.

If you'd like to send your return and note your desired exchange in the box, you may do that as well. If the item is in stock when your return is processed, we can ship out your exchange. This option is only available if the exchanged item(s) value is equal to or less than the original order.

Sorry for the information overload, but it takes a lot to keep the world turning and time from collapsing.

Store Returns

Returns and exchanges may be made at any one of our Dotasale store locations up to 30 days from the date of purchase, with the original receipt. Purchases made during November and December may be returned through January 15th. (or within 30 days of purchase, whichever is longer)

Refunds will be made by the same method as the original payment. Sorry, we cannot give you cash back on your debit purchase.

Returns Without a Receipt
Returns without a receipt are accepted only if the product is:

  • Verifiably purchased from Dotasale.
  • Items are unused, with original tags and packaging.
  • Is accompanied by a valid government-issued photo ID.
  • Returns without a receipt will be processed only in the form of a gift card. Items will be credited at the lowest sale price within the last 30 days.
    We’ll replace products with defects in quality and workmanship. Dotasale is unable to accept responsibility for items that have suffered from excessive wear and tear or were not verifiably purchased at Dotasale.
